Team Leader (Manufacturing)

Our client in Cheshire is looking for a fully experienced Team leader to join their busy team. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory experience and a good understanding of Lean manufacturing principles. The main duties are as follows: Strive to achieve agreed KPI targets and regularly communicate with your team about company/departmental issues. Ensure induction and job training is carried out. Ensure that tooling controls and that stock and waste are monitored and kept to a minimum. Ensuring that all work activities and records comply with the Companies policies. Monitor & control the utilisation of materials & equipment. Carry out appraisal interviews with members of your team as & when required. Create training plans and maintain records for individuals an the team. To fully support the planning system by ensuring controls are operated according to departmental requirements. To train as a First Aider as emergency backup to the rest of the team. Standard hours of work are 7am - 3.30pm Mon - Thurs with a 12.30 finish on fridays. There is potentially scope for quite a bit of overtime and our client would hope that the successful applicant would do their share of this and be part of the night shift rota (probably 2-weeks nights out of 8).
