Develop and manage the design and structure of my clients web sites and online presence for its customers, partners and staff that is responsive, usable, accessible, accurate, timely and relevant to create a positive user experience and promote the adoption of online transactional services. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1 Develop, plan and implement improvements to the online services through constant review, monitoring against comparator sites, analysis of statistical reports and search engine optimisation to ensure the web sites are examples of best practice, reaching external and internal audiences. 2 Liaise with client services and partner organisations to design solutions that promote their services and campaigns via the web and associated media, to maximise coverage and encourage online service take-up. 3 Prioritise and project-manage work of the Online Services Team and ICT Shared Services to ensure delivery in a timely and efficient manner and meet agreed deadlines with the resources available 4 Perform the function of web-editor for my clients websites to produce a websites that are a reliable primary source of information and online self service portraying a positive image. 5 Develop and enforce policy for website structure, design and copy, covering the manner in which information and online services are displayed, to deliver websites that are consistent, usable and accessible by customers and comply with government legislation and set best practice. 6 Monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of online service delivery through analysis of statistical reports, feedback and benchmarking to inform the development of continuous improvement plans. 7 Develop and maintain an awareness of industry trends and technologies to evaluate their potential use on web site. 8 Monitor the representation of my client on other websites to ensure accuracy of information and responsive council services. 9 Maintain and develop a network of service content providers to ensure the online services are comprehensive, relevant and current and follow best practice. 10 Work as part of the Online Services Team to develop the websites and wider customer services in line with my clients vision. The job holder may be required at any time to under take any work up to and/or at a level consistent with existing responsibilities. These tasks may be at any location in Cheshire, to ensure the effective deployment of labour, materials, transport and equipment to meet daily service requirements.
