The Information and Data Management (IADM) Programme requires a Data Protection specialist to support the Council in delivering the Data Protectin changes known as General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
IADM has a work stream in flight with key delivery resource mobilised, but CE does not have enough Data Protection resource in house to support the process mapping and alignment to GDPR legislation to the speed and time needed to meet critical deadlines.
The Programme is information and business focussed, so it is essential that the successful PM can demonstrate experience or a background of Data Protection, has knowledge of Data Protection and GDPR legislation and is able to align the regulation to business process and understand the impact on business change.
The specialist will be supported by a wider network of PMs under the programme, as well as an active Programme Manager and SRO.
Lead the business operations of the Asset Management Service and provide strategic financial and business advice to the Senior Management Team and manage the Council’s corporate property performance management and information systems to ensure effective financial management and service improvement.
1 Manage the business operations of the Asset Management Service to ensure effective implementation of financial, business and procurement strategies.
2 Manage and improve performance management information systems and quality checking processes to ensure that management information and performance data is available to provide accurate and timely information, data and key performance indicators to support the process of managing and improving all aspects of the Council’s property related activities.
3 Provide strategic financial and business advice to the Senior Management Team to ensure improved performance and effective service delivery in accordance with approved budgets.
4 Monitor the performance of the service against budgets and income targets and take all necessary action to ensure that effective financial control is exercised and that the service operates in accordance with financial regulations.
5 Lead the development of the annual Service Plan, Learning and Development Plan and Workforce Development Plan processes, including Risk Assessments and monitoring and reviewing of Service Action Plans, to ensure that the Service satisfies corporate objectives and is effective in its response to client needs.
6 Manage and lead a team of staff to develop capable and motivated staff, able to work collaboratively to achieve or exceed planned performance and provide an effective and efficient corporate property information service to support the business requirements of the Council.
7 Manage all revenue and capital budgets relating to the responsibilities of the post; monitor budgets; produce financial and performance reports and recommend replacement programmes for the procurement of business critical Information systems to enhance Service capability.
8 Research, develop and implement strategic policies and procedures for the management and use of corporate property information to ensure that best practice is followed in data, performance and quality management and that property portfolio achieves optimum benefit for the Council.
